Phil Brindley

I took part in the family history workshops, which have produced a number of stories for this site. There is the story of my mother in law, Edith Marsh,  written by Ben Elliott, her neighbour, while he was still at school. His essay gives a picture of society in the Potteries both pre and post-War. I also have an account of my working life as a Police Officer. In my current job I have acquired the habit of taking my camera with me in the car. If I spot an old or interesting building, particularly a potbank, I photograph it. You can see a photo-essay by me in the Essay section of the site.

Oddly through the project, my wife has recently made contact with her mother's closest friend, Margaret Dean. Margaret was also a contributor to the project, and Edith and Margaret feature in one another's photographs!
